Privacy policy

This policy explains what information InfoGraphHub (infographhub.com) collects, why, and the choices you have. InfoGraphHub (“we”, “us”) is an independent educational project based in India. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run a free, ad-supported website. You can use the whole site without an account.

1. Information we collect

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful, and Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies. These tools process data such as pages viewed, approximate location (country/city derived from IP address), device and browser type, and referring site. IP addresses are not stored by us. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google Analytics runs in a cookieless, consent-denied mode until you give consent.

Advertising

We show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites, to limit how often you see an ad and to measure ad performance. Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA, the UK and some US states), a consent message from a Google-certified consent management platform asks for your choice before personalised ads or advertising cookies are used, and you can change your choice at any time from the privacy link it displays.

Premium downloads

Some premium downloads may be unlocked by viewing a short ad through Google’s Offerwall. We do not collect any extra information for this; the ad is handled by Google under the policies above.

Newsletter

If you subscribe, we store your email address, which site you signed up on, the page you signed up from, the exact consent text you agreed to and the time you agreed. We use this only to send occasional emails about new resources. Every email contains an unsubscribe link.

Download counts

When you download a file, we increase an anonymous counter for that file and format. To prevent abuse we briefly use your IP address in memory at our hosting provider (Cloudflare) to ignore repeated clicks within one minute; it is not stored in our database.

Emails you send us

If you email us, we keep the message and your address to reply and to keep a record of corrections.

Theme preference

Your light/dark theme choice is saved in your browser’s local storage. It never leaves your device.

2. Why we process data (legal bases)

For users in India, we process personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 on the basis of your consent or for legitimate uses permitted by the Act.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, update or delete your personal data, to withdraw consent at any time, to object to or restrict processing, to data portability, and to nominate another person to exercise your rights. Under India’s DPDP Act you may also seek grievance redressal from us and, if unresolved, approach the Data Protection Board of India. If you are in the EEA or UK you may complain to your local supervisory authority. To exercise any right, email [email protected] with the subject “Privacy request”. We respond within 30 days.

7. Children

InfoGraphHub is a general-audience educational website. It is not directed specifically at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Students under 18 should subscribe to the newsletter only with a parent’s or guardian’s permission. Ads on this site are requested as non-personalised where the law requires it for young users. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Security

Data travels over HTTPS. Our database is not directly accessible from the internet; only our server-side functions can write to it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
